Jane Sclafani Project #1 Midpoint

Many would agree that media in America, specifically violent video games, and the amount of violence that is exposed to our youth, has become a bigger problem than any of us had expected. These games may have started out as something to take us out of our everyday lives, have fun with, and boost our economy, but their aggressive nature has had a negative impact, to say the least, on youth and adolescences in America. Having once been a society traumatized by witnessing real violence, we have become almost immune to the shock of massacres that seem to take place every day. Because of the way our youth is being drawn in by these games, and the negative impact they seem to have on our society,  it is time that we take into consideration the effects these video games have on mental health of the youth in the United States, specifically in the last 20 years.
Why people started playing video games -->
What they have become.
How they have pulled us away from participating in the real world.
How they have desensitized America.
Massacres that have been influence by these games.
Their contribution to the economy and how it would change if they were banned.
Conclusion
